I was drawn to this book … maybe the word curtains drew me in or maybe the yellow or maybe because I need to make new curtains for Clara’s Room.

Oh, how we love it? What is it about that chunky stack of freshly cut cotton that drives us to giddy happiness? I think it’s the potential behind it; the many projects that you could create with that pretty new bundle.

However, after we decide on the perfect project and bring it to fruition, we are undoubtedly left with the remnants of the projects: scraps. It’s a word I don’t care for, actually. It sound like something you wouldn’t want around. But the fabric remnant from my beloved projects are just as cherished as the larger pieces!

As Sandi talks about the scraps of fabric that fill our life I am drawn in… I am always at a lose for what to do with all the scraps. Here it is. An entire book dedicated to the scraps from our projects.

My first project is going to be the market skirt found on page 141. I have wanted to make a little something for me and I can see me wearing a skirt like this. Comfort and Style. Trendy and Retro. MINE! PERFECT!
